Early Career Meet and Mix
A "meet and mix" reception is planned and organized by members of the ASLO early career committee to give early career members an opportunity to provide feedback on various topics relevant to them, including any concerns or expectations as an early career member. This is a social gathering for early career members to get to know each other and to network. Refreshments will be served.

Climbing the Ladder of Scientific Success
During the upcoming OSM meeting in Salt Lake, a collaboration of several COSEE Centers will present a series of Ladder of Scientific Success Lunchtime Workshops aimed primarily at Early Career scientists interested in increasing their capacity for high impact education, outreach, and collaboration activities. These leadership development workshops are organized into four "rungs" which can be climbed individually or as a whole and are designed to support the development of ocean scientists in their careers. The four "rungs" are:
I) Deconstruct your science (Make it simple)

III) Build Effective Communication Techniques
Janice McDonnell, COSEE NOW—Techniques for Improving Your Broader Impacts

IV) Broaden Your Reach: Recognizing and Using Your Professional Networks
