- Aquatic Sciences 2013 Call for Special Sessions - EXTENDED DEADLINE
ASLO is returning to the Big Easy for the first time since 1990! The Aquatic Sciences Meeting will be held on February 17-22, 2013, at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. We are calling for proposals for special sessions. Proposals should address broad and timely topics that will interest a broad audience. In an effort to promote dialogs across disciplinary boundaries, we move away from the traditional separation of "research" vs. "non-research" sessions. Instead, we encourage the inclusion of both research and non-research presentations within sessions. "Non-research" would apply to both policy and education presentations. Sessions that encourage presentations that include both research and non-research aspects are especially desired. Session proposals must be submitted online by the EXTENDED DEADLINE of 23:59 U.S. Central Daylight Time, 18 May 2012.
- ASLO Elections!
In Spring 2012, ASLO members will elect a new President-elect, Secretary, four Members-at-Large, and one Student Board Member. Current ASLO Secretary Lisa Campbell will be running unopposed for re-election as Secretary. Elections will close 1 June 2012. Please use the Members Only Ballot to cast your vote for ASLO Board members.
